Abstract

Objective. The article considers a mathematical approach to analyzing the probability of attacks being neutralized by the operating system (hereinafter referred to as the OS) of automated systems of the internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation (hereinafter referred to as the ATS of the Russian Federation). The methodological approach is based on calculating the probability of neutralizing attacks over a certain time interval.
Method. The research is based on methods of probability theory and differential equations, as well as an analysis of various sources of scientific literature and publications.
Result. A mathematical approach to the analysis of the probability of neutralizing attacks by the OS of the ATS of the Russian Federation is proposed. Using a practical example, the probability of neutralization of attacks by the OS of the ATS of the Russian Federation was calculated.
Conclusion. Based on the calculations performed, the authors propose possible ways to improve OS security.
