Целью работы является обоснование необходимости применения методов математического моделирования для решения проблем обеспечения безопасности дорожного движения на автомобильных дорогах.</p></sec><sec><title>Метод</title><p>Метод. Количественные методы анализа проблем безопасности дорожного движения (БДД) основаны на теории вероятностей, математической статистики, теории информации, многофакторном анализе, теории надежности, моделирования, программирования и других математических методов.</p></sec><sec><title>Результат</title><p>Результат. Рассмотрены основные тенденции в исследовании проблем БДД. Указано, что математические зависимости влияния ограниченного количества факторов непригодны для удовлетворительного описания системы «водитель- автомобиль- дорога- среда» (ВАДС) в целом. Обращая внимание на неопределенность объектов, свойств и связей системы ВАДС обоснована необходимость использования системного подхода в решении этих проблем. Обсуждается необходимость учета региональных условий на БДД. Представлены математические модели, рекомендуемые для решения проблем обеспечения безопасности дорожного движения.</p></sec><sec><title>Вывод</title><p>Вывод. Обобщение, систематизация огромного эмпирического материала ДТП, накопленного в результате конкретных исследований, с учетом экономических, социальных и демографических условий и разработка теоретических концепций на основе системных представлений являются важнейшими условиями решения проблем обеспечения БДД.</p></sec></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><sec><title>Objective</title><p>Objective. The purpose of the work is to apply mathematical modeling methods to solve problems of ensuring road safety on highways.</p></sec><sec><title>Method</title><p>Method. Quantitative methods for analyzing road safety problems (BDD) are based on probability theory, mathematical statistics, information theory, multifactor analysis, reliability theory, modeling, programming and other mathematical methods.</p></sec><sec><title>Result</title><p>Result. The main trends in the study of road safety problems are considered. It is indicated that the mathematical dependences of the influence of a limited number of factors are unsuitable for a satisfactory description of the “driver-vehicle-road-environment” (VADS) system as a whole. Paying attention to the uncertainty of objects, properties and connections of the VADS system, the need to use a systematic approach in solving these problems is justified. The need to take into account regional conditions in road safety is discussed. Mathematical models recommended for solving problems of ensuring road safety are presented.</p></sec><sec><title>Conclusion</title><p>Conclusion.
